Intro to Collage Pictures Class

Event Series (See All)

June 26, 2025 @ 6:30 PM 8:30 PM

Participants interested in collage can attend this recurring class as they wish to explore and create different types of collage and will learn how to produce this gratifying and fun media format. Materials used will be primarily images or textures clipped from magazines, however in upcoming classes we will make use of fibers, fabric, photos, wallpaper, old greeting cards, buttons, stickers, textured paper, and found objects. You may attend as many classes as you desire to expand your knowledge and mastery of a very rewarding type of artwork! We will have classes on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month during May, June, and July.

We ask that all class attendees bring exacto knifes and scissors and a cutting mat or other protective surface that paper can be cut on.

Most other supplies will be provided. Future classes in the series will make use of yarns, found objects that can be glued to a flat surface, and other flat materials which we will ask students to bring in. If you have magazines to donate and share it is great but not required to be a part of the class. Period publications with old clothing and dated technology are fun, and just about any magazine of any subject with interesting photos can be used for limitless ideas.

A large supply of magazines and scrap paper will be supplied.
